How should i build the spawn for the map I'm making?

I have placed the chests and the crafting table and now all i need to do is build the pedestals that we spawn on. but how far should i put them apart from each other/the center?
Any ideas/answers are much appreciated!

I think what I did Acully was make a hollow cylinder with radias of 21 I used world edit so I stood at center if map then I made the podiums using the stone as a guide if you want add me on Skype and tomorow I'll show you what I mean if this didn't make sense to you my Skype is omri.d13

For the map I'm making, I used a radius of 20. I started by placing a pedestal in each of the 4 directions (north, east, south, west) and then tried to find the block in the middle of each of those pedestals. Then I did the same with the pedestals that I added.
