A bad computer brings a challenge to the player rather than the people who have good computers. I used to have a really decent computer that could hold on a far render distance, fancy graphics and a resource pack and I didn't need to worry about having any frame drops. And 3-4 months ago something happened with it and my average FPS became 40 and lower. At first I believed it was the end for me, but after getting used to it I became much better with the bow because that was my primary weapon, if I would get near a fight my FPS would go down to 20 and lower and I would be just consider myself dead, which means that I pretty much dropped anything related to sword & flint and steel PvP. The only issue with low FPS is you not being able to play some maps such as Lobby Games, Turbulence & TSG3, but anything else. It just became harder, but not impossible.

Your setup acts as a kind of limiting factor imo. If you're running 50 frames with a bad keyboard etc there's a limit to how good you can be.

It annoys me when people call others scrubs etc when for all they know they could be running 2ofps.

Mine is pretty horrible, I average around 30 fps on every single game I play.

Oh, I get about 20-30 fps, with no 'q' button and a laptop with a razer naga hex [red wraith] I only dream of getting a computer with a decent fps standard.

I use my custom built PC (1k including the desk, KB, and mouse!), and I get over 200 frames on most maps, and I get about 60 with shaders ultra on like, max Optifine settings :p

I think that it matters a ton. For my last semester, I had a pretty good desktop that could get a steady 200-300 fps and about 90-ish ping, and was able to play somewhat decently. Now that I'm at home with a laptop that gets around 25 fps and randomly spikes during fights, as well as anywhere from 150 to 500 ping, my pvp is pretty much ruined.

It doesn't fully make or fully break a player. It supports or hurts a player's skill, but a good player is a good player no matter what they have computer wise.

I only get 30 FPS average, but I'm used to it. I'm never going to get a better computer, so no point moping. I just need to deal with it.
