Sad to see this clan go even though I was in this clan for a day it probably was one of the best clans I've ever been in. #Chrome4life

221 days ago, I set out with a mission. A mission to create the greatest clan MCSG had ever seen. Many would draw the consensus that I failed. However, I may stand in the minority when I say we succeeded. Chrome may have not been the winner of every clan battle or war, but we did succeed as friends. In Chrome, I have met some of my closest friends, offline and on. We will continue to be friends long after these moments, as Chrome will never truly die.

7 months, and 8 days ago I made a thread that altered my life. I cannot thank the members of Chrome, from summer of 2013, to now, for changing my life. More than 50 people were in this clan, and I want to thank all of you for making me the leader, and friend that I am today. I will never forget this clan.

I’ve kept this clan strong, in times that others would run away screaming. As of writing this, Chrome is the 2nd continuously run clan, only behind Rebels. It would’ve of never been possible without any of you, from the most active of members, to the BKRandies of the beginnings of this clan. Chrome has had its hardships, and its failures, however, our success has pushed us through, making us stronger than before. However, all good things must come to an end.

With a heavy heart, on the 9th of March, 2014, 221 days since launch, I officially announce the closing of Chrome. One day we may resurface, however, for now, it is time to put Chrome to sleep, among the stars of the Minecraft Survival Games servers.

In the last couple of weeks, I have found Chrome to be a very difficult endeavor. Whilst it is no one person’s fault, the clan scene has changed tremendously since I started Chrome. For example, scrimmages did not exist when I began this clan, now they are the centrifuge of training for every major and minor, US, EU, AU, AS and CA clan!

In the previous weeks, we have seen many extremely loyal members of our clan leave our doors. We have dwindled to only a small number of members. I, no one can run a successful clan with such a small amount of members. If more than 2 people are gone, you cannot participate in any major event. You can’t do much with such a small amount of members.

Alas, I digress. Chrome is closed. Thank-you to everyone for your months, and weeks of service and loyalty. You will never be forgotten. I have written short message to every member of Chrome that changed our clan, and helped us.

This is not a goodbye, the original Skype chat will be preserved, however we will no longer accept applications, or participate as a clan in any way.

AggaliciousHD – My right hand man! You joined this clan so long ago, and you’ve braved the storm. I cannot ask for anyone more active, dedicated, and friendly than you were in your months of service here. You were the first Officer and Sr. Officer, and received those ranks under odd circumstances. If it wasn’t for your help, Chrome would’ve died a long time ago, and wouldn’t be half the clan it ended up being. Thank-you so much for everything you’ve done for this clan. I can’t thank you enough for all the help, whether it be renting out the TeamSpeak, or helping build back our clan so many times. You are a true biffle.

I am not disbanding Chrome because of any one reason; however I feel that clans are a much worse community then they use to be. Nowadays, the amount of flame that is caused by clans is unprecedented. I also do not have the time to continue running the clan. My grades, tests and assignments have begun to falter. I have received a lot of harassment for people due to my “inactiveness”, and I simply do not want to lend an ear to those people. I hope everyone in Chrome has a pleasant experience, whether they choose to continue down this path, or play casually. Maybe one day I will revive Chrome, but for now I wish my goodbye to the clan community.

Time for me to weigh in:

This is basically the only clan that ever really accepted me because I'm a big scrub and don't know how to play hungercraft.

I was inactive for a long amount of time due to schoolwork. There were times I wanted to just leave, but I didn't. When I became active again, I applied for officer to see if I could try to fix some of the issues Chrome had. While I may not have fully succeeded, I had a lot of fun doing it and I made some good friends at the same time.

We were one of the longest running clans, second only to the Rebels. We were never the best, but we always enjoyed playing and never ever had any fights or drama.

Here is who I would like to acknowledge:

Alpha - A great leader and friend, who always managed to get through hard times. He pulls off the amazing feat of being completely mature sometimes, but really immature at others. hez a prety kool guy 10/10

AggaliciousHD - When I first met you I thought you might be mature, but that silly thought of mine was soon replaced by the truth. You're a good friend and you specialize in publicly sticking things up your butt, and staying up all night to tryhard QQ. Thanks for being on when I had no one else to play with.

YourFavoriteTreecko - A fantastic clan battle/scrim leader, and a good friend too. Although I sometimes worry for his brothers.

Denster91 - Ever since we accepted a Sr. Chad into the clan, things have just been so much better. Thanks for being the best Sr. Chad we have.

This is a sad day that makes me cry. I absolutely hate it when clans like this die. Because it makes me think about the future and how I will one day be forced to leave MCSG and how everything needs to end one day. Its really depressing. My wishes go to everyone in chrome and that they will have good luck in the future. Although not many people know this, this was my very first clan. Everything I know and my foundation, was developed from these guys. I will love yoh guys forever and will always be around if you needed. cya c:

You guys may not feel like the most respected or appreciated clan, but I want you to know how respected you are. Keeping a clan running for as long as you have and creating a group of friends is such an accomplishment. I hung out with you guys for a very brief period of time, and I realized that having a clan isn't what's on the outside, it's what's on the inside. You guys were really close friends and just made it your duty to have fun any chance you got, and that's a great thing to have within a clan. Farewell.
