From what I understand, he thinks that a player is hacking because they saw his optifine cape.

To OP, that is not a hack, the beta version of 1.7 optifine is out. And optifine is not against the rules, so that is not considered hacking either.

I honestly don't get the whole "unfairness" thing about mods.

Think about it this way...

If BSM gives you an advantage, which it does...

So does Optifine, Armor Status HUD, Direction Status HUD, and Potion Status HUD, for obvious reasons.

Shaders help make nametags easier to say depending on the pack...
