Will minecraft snapshot affect MCSG play?

I want to update to the next snapshot of 1.6 for the horses

Will i be able to play mcsg normally, or will i not be able to play?

You have to be on the current version to be able to play MCSG. If you want to play MCSG and the snapshot, switch between jars.
