This is an idea I have that I think would either work out well or not at all. Basically, all of the popular threads in the Finished Maps section get reviewed by staff and the community, and a decision is made about the map. It sounds odd I know, but hear me out. Let's say a thread gets over 1,000 views, or 100+ replies in Finished Maps. One could say this map is "popular," by the amount of traffic/feedback it is getting. These maps could be reviewed by certain staff, or even the new Map Committee. The decision makers would take into account the votes for the map and feedback in the comments section. After ample review, the map/thread would receive a declined or in review label.
---If it's declined, the thread could be locked, unless the map maker would have some viable reason otherwise. This would make the Finished Maps section less unorganized and hectic.
---If it's given the label in review (or whatever other name have you), the map could looked over by Dave, or another high-ranking staff member. This group of threads would be relatively small to keep stress off of the higher ups.
Well there's my idea, and maybe you all could find use in it. Peace!
