How to create a map?

Hi, I'm an italian boy, tihs servers are the best MCSG servers ever
I wanted to create a map and show it to you, but I don't know if I need some special mod, or plugin to do it, or I can create it in a singleplayer world. I wanted to know also how to set tr1 and tr2. Thanks for support!
